As my long-term readers know, I typically post a main blog piece on Monday so you have an opportunity to consider it – and maybe try it out – across a full workweek. Also, it gives you an opportunity to read the article with a mind hopefully rested from the weekend!

I’ve decided to add a new series to my posts, and for now, I’m calling it Quote Friday. I’m going to begin a series this week in which I will post selected leadership quotes from famous and not-so-famous quotables. I’ll try to maintain a theme in a given week’s quotes, but if something in particular strikes me that week, it will probably go in anyway!

As always, I welcome your comments, whether on the articles themselves or directly via the contact form. I’ll ask, though, that if the comment or question bears directly on an article or quote, please use the commenting system so all of the readers will benefit. Thanks!

Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things. ~Peter Drucker

A good objective of leadership is to help those who are doing poorly to do well and to help those who are doing well to do even better.
~Jim Rohn

Effective leadership is putting first things first. Effective management is discipline, carrying it out. ~ Stephen Covey

The supreme quality for leadership is unquestionably integrity. Without it, no real success is possible, no matter whether it is on a section gang, a football field, in an army, or in an office.
~Dwight D. Eisenhower

Leadership is influence. ~John C. Maxwell

Take care, and enjoy life,
